Heart Yoga
Flow

With Marija

Tuesday and Thursday 18:00

Depending on the needs, this class is held in Lithuanian or English.

This is Vinyasa-style yoga, aimed at opening, calming, and listening to the heart. Here, I invite you to find a love for movement – whether actively or gradually, exploring and moving with curiosity.

The classes always have a theme, a story, or a breathing introduction, with a mantra accompanied by a ukulele at the end of the practice. To open the heart. The class level is open to everyone, with modifications offered for both beginners and advanced practitioners. Heart-focused yoga practices emphasize backbends, strengthening the shoulders and hips, arm balances, and movement to foster a sense of closeness.

YOGA TEACHER

Marija Siliūnienė

I am Marija, a certified yoga teacher (200YTT Vinyasa, 100YTT Hatha, 80YACEP Yin, 30YACEP Inversions), a mother, and a curly-haired explorer of the world with a film camera slung over my shoulder. I lead yoga practices in Lithuania and Sicily, Italy. My journey with movement began early in childhood, on tennis courts, where I spent over a decade. During those years, I developed a deep love for moving, appreciating a tired body, and feeling life and freedom—it became profoundly enjoyable. My heart always told me that movement was my path. Growing up in an active family, movement not only brought us closer but also became my first response to anxiety and sadness.

Ten years ago, I turned to yoga during a time of deep unhappiness. When everything else felt temporary, the practice—those hours of silence and the intentional response to restlessness—became an anchor. That’s when I realized I had found “my thing.” My heart affirmed it once again. I adore a breathing body, pistachio cream-filled croissants, matcha, handstands, laughing when balance lets me fall, and catching myself when I grow impatient in downward-facing dog. Through yoga and meditation, I experienced pregnancy, a transformation of my body, and a return to strength in a renewed form.

In my practices, I focus not only on the physical asana (the form and posture) but also on yoga’s tradition—I pick up my ukulele to sing mantras, share stories of ancient sages, and teach Sanskrit. Since I also work in IT, I enjoy diving into anatomy and refining asanas with a scientific approach.

Let’s meet on the mat—it’ll be good.
